A-IX-1

Mixture A-IX-1 is a homogeneous powder-like, non-hygroscopic free-flowing orange substance that does not react with brass, aluminum, alkali, varnish, etc. It contains 93.5–95% RDX, 5–6% phlegmatizer (comprising 15% natural ceresin, 45% synthetic ceresin, 38.8% stearin, and 1.2% orange dye).

Mixture A-IX-1 is used for the manufacture of DD, booster detonators, detonating cord, KZ, demolition blocks, and is also included in the composition of the explosive A-IX-2.
