Marine Mixture (MS)

Marine Mixture (MS) is a homogeneous, non-hygroscopic explosive substance of light brown color with an orange tint and individual silvery inclusions of aluminum powder. It is prepared in mechanical mixers and contains TNT 19 ± 3%, RDX 57 ± 2.5%, PA-4 aluminum powder 17 ± 2%, and phlegmatizer 6.4 ± 1%. MS is used for filling engineering, aviation, and less frequently rocket-artillery and mine-torpedo munitions
