ЕДП-р (ЭДП-р)

The ЕДП-р (ЭДП-р) electric detonator is designed for initiating explosive substances by means of electric current. It converts an electrical impulse into thermal energy (via a bridgewire), causing ignition of the initiating composition and subsequent detonation. It provides remote, precise, and controlled initiation of the charge.

It consists of a No. 8-А detonator cap, in the mouth of which an electric igniter with a platinum-iridium bridgewire is secured by crimping with a plasticized compound plug; it has a threaded sleeve for screwing into the igniter wells of charges and mines. The wires in plasticized insulation are 1 m long.
